What Josephine Caring Community is doing about Coronavirus – COVID 19

Josephine Caring Community is taking this outbreak as well as all outbreaks, flu, or illness very seriously.

The Leadership Team is monitoring the CDC website constantly to ensure we are up to the minute on any changes in recommendations. The facility has self-imposed increased cleaning rounds with the appropriate cleaning agents, increased screening of visitors (all exterior doors are closed for entrance you may only come through the front-main entrance at this time), increased screening of new admissions, and increased monitoring for symptoms which include fever, cough, and shortness of breath.

As always, we are encouraging staff members that are feeling ill to stay home, insisting on vigilant hand hygiene and appropriate personal protective equipment to be worn when appropriate. Equipment may include gloves, gown, mask, and eye protection.

Josephine encourages families to stay home if you are not feeling well. Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Cover your cough with a tissue. Clean/disinfect frequently. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
